How We Research & Score Supplements

Transparency is the foundation of DailyWellHacks. This page explains exactly how we arrive at every score, user complaint, and comparison on the site.

1

How We Score

The WellHack™ Score is a composite metric rated from 0 to 100. It is not crowd-sourced and not influenced by vendor relationships.

The score is calculated from four equally weighted pillars:

Ingredient Quality & Dosage (25%)

Are key ingredients present in clinically studied doses? Are bioavailable forms used (e.g., magnesium glycinate vs. oxide)? Are proprietary blends avoided in favor of transparent labeling?

Third-Party Testing (25%)

Is the product verified by an independent lab (NSF, USP, Informed Sport, ConsumerLab)? Products with no third-party verification are scored lower regardless of label claims.

Price Transparency (25%)

Is pricing clear and competitive? We calculate cost per serving and compare against the category average. Hidden subscription traps or inflated "retail" prices reduce the score.

User Complaint Severity (25%)

The operational impact of the most common user complaints. Taste and texture issues are weighted less than reports of digestive distress, wrong dosing, or misleading labels. Complaints are manually sourced — never auto-generated.

Our Research Process

We do not use AI to generate reviews or user complaints. Every data point on this site is traced back to a verifiable source.

  1. Product labels: We verify every ingredient, dosage, and serving size against the manufacturer's official label or Supplement Facts panel.
  2. Published research: Key ingredient claims are cross-referenced with PubMed, NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, and Examine.com. Every comparison includes a minimum of 3 citations.
  3. User complaints: We manually audit Amazon reviews (1-3 star), Reddit communities (r/Supplements, r/Nootropics, r/Fitness), and Trustpilot for specific, recurring issues — not generic sentiment.
  4. Third-party testing: We check NSF, USP, Informed Sport, and ConsumerLab databases to verify certification claims.

What We Do Not Do

DailyWellHacks does not provide medical advice. We compare products based on publicly available data — ingredients, pricing, certifications, and user reports.

  • We do not claim any supplement cures, treats, prevents, or diagnoses any condition.
  • We do not make dosage recommendations. Consult a healthcare provider.
  • We do not test products in a lab ourselves. We rely on manufacturer labels and third-party certifications.
  • We are not medical professionals. Our team researches publicly available data.
